A Message from Our Chairmen

Dear Friend of Heart,

We are honored to be Chairmen of the 2011 Boca Raton Heart Ball. Our team is in full gear planning the event, which will be held on February 26th, 2011 at St. Andrew’s Country Club. We invite you to join us at this exquisite evening of dining, dancing and great fun all while “Saving lives, One Heartbeat at a Time.” To help convey the mission of the American Heart Association, we have named William W. O’Neill, M.D. as the Medical Honoree. Dr. O’Neill is the Executive Director for Clinical Affairs – Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Miami Miller - School of Medicine.

The American Heart and Stroke Association created an impact goal, “By 2020, to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20% while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20%.” In order to meet this goal they created “Life’s Simple 7,” which includes seven simple things that EVERY person can do to create a healthier lifestyle and in turn reduce heart disease and stroke. We have included information on Life’s Simple 7 with this packet for you to review. Our goal is to get this information to members of the Boca Raton community and truly make an impact in our own backyard.

Please help us make a difference in the lives of those in our own community by supporting the 2011 Boca Raton Heart Ball. We ask that you be among our esteemed supporters and help continue the fight against America’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers – heart disease and stroke.

If you have any questions regarding the event or sponsorships, please do not hesitate to call Gala Director, Trisha Bernauer, at (561) 859-4330. We truly appreciate your consideration of supporting our efforts on behalf of the American Heart Association.

With heartfelt thanks,

Nick Carrera and Nick Schneider
